Setup / Things to bring
1)Get the Waiver of Liability here in either .doc form or .pdf form. Bring it to the event!
2)Yourself, recently bathed and with use of proper hygienic products. (We have a small space and don't care to experience your natural musky smell. Please don't expose us to this or we will expose you to being rejected from one of the most accepting groups of the KC area.)
3) A computer capable of playing games which you wish to play and connecting to a RJ-45 port. Fully functional and patched and ready to use.* All it takes is one looser with a virus on the network to getcha when yer fragg'n nucrash. Make sure that your system doesn't have any open shares where people can write files to your system.
- Intel or AMD dual core processor or better
- 2 GB of RAM or better.
- nVidia or AMD video card that is probably no more than 4 years old at a minimum.
- 10 GB or better of free disk space for new game installations or patches.
- Headphones (Speakers are not appreciated in small spaces, exceptions for organizers or various others are sometimes permitted, but should not be expected)
- Keyboard and Mouse.
- Power cables. You may also want to bring a surge protecting power strip.
- OS software in the unlikely event that you will need to reinstall.
- Your selection of games you wish to play.**
- A virus scanner is HIGHLY recomended.
- Extra parts and tools like cdroms, network cards, memory, hd, goat, etc...
- A small inventory list of what you bring, just in case there are mix-ups.
- CAT5 RJ45 cable. (Just in case, but it is currently provided)
4) Extra drinks, snacks and or food.***
5) Pillows, blankets, teddy bears, etc. in case you need a nap, girly man. Or for those of you who drive more than two hours to be at an event and just need a nap.
6) Money. $20 is our entry fee currently plus money for those late night munchie runs!
7) A will and desire to play games as well as an attitude to frag nucrash several times over.
8) Sobriety. (We understand that many things in life may lead you to drink or use other controlled substances, just please don't be under the noticeable influence of them during an event. We will gladly tape you to a chair and leave you out in the cold for the duration of the event. Technically, you can still be sober and we will do this to you anyway just because we don't like you, but being an obnoxious drunk will improve the odds of your possible abuse)
* Please make sure that you have a working system before the event; hardware/software troubles will be laughed at.
** Just because you bring a game does not mean people will want to play that game.
*** We will have a supply of soda, snacks, and (if attendance is high enough) pizza for all, but you may bring your own drinks and snacks as well
